Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use this site. That includes people who browse with a screen reader, use a keyboard instead of a mouse, enlarge the text, or rely on captions. A site that only works for some people isn’t really working.

The standard we build toward

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the benchmark most widely used to judge whether a site is usable by people with disabilities. Where we can clear the newer 2.2 bar, we do.

Where we are

This is ongoing work, not a finished box we’ve checked. We’re actively improving things like color contrast, descriptive alt text on images, keyboard access, form labels, and captions on video. Some corners of the site may still fall short, and we’d rather tell you that than claim a perfection we haven’t earned.

If you hit a wall

If any part of this site is hard to use or gets in your way, tell us. Email [email protected], describe what happened and where, and we’ll work to fix it. We aim to respond within two business days. If you need something from a page you can’t reach, we’ll get it to you another way while we sort out the fix.

Keeping it up

Accessibility slips when new content and updates pile up, so we check as we go. We’d rather catch a problem ourselves than let it sit. If you find one first, you’ll have our thanks.
